Moving House…

Okay, so I know that I’ve been really, really bad at blogging recently, but everything has been like FJKSDHFK for the last few weeks. As you probably know, I’ve started my YouTube account, and I’m also moving house soon. I’ve been doing a lot of packing and my mum’s injured her foot, so things have been slower than usual, but she’s doing really well and is trying to do things, even though I tell her not to.I’m moving to a temporary flat at the end of the month for a couple of months, then I’m going to be moving to our new house which is still being built. I’m excited, because the whole development is full of woodland and wildlife; there are grass snakes (don’t worry, they’re not poisonous), other lizardy reptiles, bats, a family of Peregrine Falcons, and some barn owls! I feel really lucky about the Peregrine Falcons, as they’re actually living there in the water tower.  There are only 1400 breeding pairs in the UK and it’s just so amazing that we have them so close. Peregrine Falcons are one of my favourite animals, I did a project on them when I was 10 and I found out that they have the fastest nose dive of any bird, going over 200mph! They have a special cone thing in their beaks, allowing them to do these vertical dives. It prevents the irritation of air pressure which make it much easier to catch their prey. The owls are really amazing though. I’ve never really seen a wild owl fly before, I’ve seen tamed ones a lot, and my mum’s seen them around, but just my luck that I miss them :(

When I move house, I’ll also have to move school. I’m really, really going to miss my friends, I’ve only been at my current school for a year, and I’ve only just gotten to know them properly. They’re really nice and I really will miss them. I’ve never ever been the ‘new girl’ to anything. It’s going to be so weird and I feel kind of lost… I really like the new place, the area is fantastic and our neighbours seem nice, but I’ll just really miss my friends.

I’m sorry for being so bad at blogging, but I’ll try to get better. Happy Weekend!

The Cup Song MashUp Lyrics : Carrie Fletcher

If you haven’t seen Carrie Fletcher’s Cup Song MashUp, then go to my prievious post and watch it! It’s soooooo good! I’ve managed to hear out the lyrics and decided to share them with you! Sorry if I get any wrong.

The Cup Song, MashUp Version by Carrie Hope Fletcher

I got my ticket for the long way ’round,

Two bottle whiskey for the way,

And I sure would like some sweet company,

And I’m leaving tomorrow, what d’ya say?

When I’m gone,

When I’m gone,

You’re gonna miss me when I’m gone,

You’re gonna miss my by my hair,

Gonna miss me everywhere,

Oh, you’re gonna miss me when I’m gone.

But you didn’t have to cut me off,

Make it like it never happened and that we were nothing,

I don’ even need your love, but you treat me like a stranger,

And that feels so rough,

No, you didn’t have to stoop so low,

Have your friends collect your records and then change your number,

Guess that I don’t need that though,

‘Cos now you’re just somebody that I used to know, know,

Na na-na na na-na na na na,

Na na-na na na-na naa na,

Baby you light up my world like nobody else,

The way that you flip your hair gets me overwhelmed,

But when you smile at the ground it ain’t hard to tell,

You don’t know, oh, oh,

You don’t know you’re beautiful,

Remember the time when we stole the whole day?

And nobody knows it, we took it away,

I’m telling you,

Now if this is love,

Then love is easy,

It’s the easiest thing to do,

If this is love,

Then love completes me,

‘Cos it feels like I’ve been missing you,

A simple equation,

With no complications,

To leave you confused,

If this is love, love, love,

Love, love, love,

Somewhere over the rainbow,

Way up high,

There’s a land that I’ve heard of,

Once in a lulla, la la la la la la la la,

‘Cos when the sun shines, we’ll shine together,

Told you I’ll be here forever,

Said I’ll always be your friend,

Took an oath, I’ma stick it out to the end,

Now that it’s raining more than ever,

It’s a good thing we have each other,

You can stand under my umbrella,

You can stand under my umbrella,

Ella, ella, eh, eh, eh,

Under my umbrella,

Ella, ella, eh, eh, eh, eh,

When it rains,

On this side of town it touches,

Just say it again and mean it,

We won’t miss a thing,

‘Cos she will be loved,

And she will be loved,

Hey, I just met you,

And this is crazy,

But here’s my number,

So call me,

You shoot me down,

But I won’t fall,

We could’ve had it all,

Rolling in the deep,

You had my heart inside of your hand,

And you played it, you played it, you played it, you played it,

When I’m gone,

When I’m gone,

You’re gonna miss me when I’m gone,

You’re gonna miss me by the walk,

Gonna miss me by the talk,

Oh, you’re gonna miss me when I’m gone.

Catch Up

Awwh, I haven’t posted in a while now, I know, but if you’ve been following my YouTube, you’ll know that I’m doing what’s called the 5 Day Challenge or 5DC for short. It’s been on since Tuesday and I’ve done three challenges so far and I was supposed to do the other two on Friday and Saturday, but I was busy on those days so I couldn’t do them. I’m carrying on as soon as possible, which will hopefully be today and the last challenge tomorrow. If you haven’t seen my YouTube yet, then there’s a link in the ‘Other’ page, if you want to check that out.

During this week, I’ve also learn’t something called ‘The Cup Song.’ It’s from the new movie Pitch Perfect and is basically a rhythm pattern using just a cup. I was taught by a YouTube video tutorial from Carrie Hope Fletcher. I’ve been following her channel, ItsWayPastMyBedtime for a few months now. She’s a really talented singer, gives great advice, and tells awesome stories.

How to : Make Paper Flowers

Paper Flowers. I tried out most of the methods, most of which were extremely hard and fiddly, but I came across one flower which I could do with ease, except my fingers got quite sticky! So I decide to share it with you:

You will need:

5 or 6 pieces of squared paper (these will be your petals so choose either the same or contrasting colours or patterns)

Glue (I used a Pritt Stick but any will be fine)

1. Get one of your squared pieces of paper.

2. Fold it in half diagonally.

You could use different papers

3. Fold the two sides of the triangle to the middle to make a diamond.

4. Do a mountain fold on either side.

5. Tuck in the tops  to make a diamond again.

6. Glue the outer sides together.

7. Do this with all your pieces of paper.

8. Glue all the petals together.

You could make a bouquet

You could use contrasting colours, not all the same

One of the most important things in life is happiness. Everyone deserves happiness, but each individual has a different way of achieving it. There are so many different ways to attain happiness, from sports and outdoor activities, to food, cooking and culture. We all have our own way of making ourselves happy. I know that not everyone in the world is happy, but those people just need to know what does make them happy. Do what makes you, your friends, family and people around you happy :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :)

LEPRA : Fighting Leprosy

Since Comic Relief is tomorrow, I thought I’d talk about a charity which I’m going to be raising money for soon. Leprosy is a serious air-born disease that can affect someone’s life tremendously. It’s a bacteria and is contagious, like a cold or flu. It damages the nerves in the joints of your hands, feet, and even eyes. You develop what’s called ‘claw hands’ which is when your hand goes numb and forms a ‘claw’ shape. It makes everyday things much, much harder. Not only does it affect the hands, but your ankles and toe joints go numb as well, making it almost impossible to walk and giving you tendency to fall over. It is non-existant in many countries, but is still a major problem in poorer countries. LEPRA have been around for over 85 years and have help an enormous amount of suffering people. So, you ask, what will i be doing to help such a wonderful cause? Well… I’m going to do… A SPONSERED ZUMBA CLASS!!! Okay, so I can’t dance but I really want to help LEPRA carry on with their fabulous work. WISH ME LUCK!!!

Happy (belated) Valentines Day!

Sorry, I didn’t post this earlier, but I forgot to say HAPPY VALENTINES DAY EVERYONE!!! I hope you had a great day filled with love and happiness!

And I’d also like to say Happy Birthday to Mei-Yee-Ma, which was on the 4th of February and I hope you have an awesome day! I love you all and can’t wait to see you in May!

I Love Winnie the Pooh

I just love Winnie the Pooh! He’s so cute with Eeyore, Piglet, Tigger, Rabbit, Owl, Kanga and Roo (I hope I haven’t missed any out!) And that no one in the whole of the Hundred Acre Woods can spell, apart for Christopher Robin, and he’s not even that good at spelling! But I guess that’s what makes it so sweet and special. I always feel happy when I watch it. I don’t know why, but when I’m sad or ill I like to watch children’s TV. Sometimes I just feel in that mood, like sometimes I just like to snuggle up after dinner and watch Peter Pan or 101 Dalmatians! I always love Disney, especially the classics. For Christmas 2009, my cousins and aunty and uncle came round for 6 weeks and it was the best Christmas EVER! I loved it. Most of my family apart from direct family live in Malaysia and Singapore. They had seriously not seen snow in years. It was such a joy having them and really lifted the spirit around the house. But when they left, you can guess what happened. It was like a big, exploding water hose! When my stepdad dropped them off at the airport at like 6am I slumped myself down onto the sofa (I had only just turned 9) and switched the TV on. And to my luck Winnie the Pooh was on! My mum wasn’t in much better a state than me. She came down, comforted me, etcetera. Winnie the Pooh isn’t really on that much anymore. I try to catch it but nothing good seems to be on when I’m free. So I’d just like to say a big, big thanks to the voices of all the Winnie the Pooh characters, and all the makers, creators and just everyone who made it available on our screens and books today. THANK YOU!!!
